For over 20 years, our clinic of highly trained acupuncturists has been London’s trusted destination for natural, holistic medicine.
We combine traditional acupuncture techniques (used for over 2,000 years) with modern clinical science to help you get back to health faster.
Our carefully selected team of practitioners have a minimum of a degree-level course in acupuncture, and are chosen for their reputation in the field.
Our treatments aim to restore the flow of “qi” (or “energy”) by applying ultra-fine needles (about the size of a human hair), at key points in the body to open the energy channels.
Acupuncture is a powerful way to treat many conditions, and we regularly treat patients for:
And many other conditions. We are happy to work with your existing GPs and specialists to provide an integrated, personalised health plan.
Will it hurt?
Most patients say the needles are completely painless and report having a great sense of relaxation during and after the treatment.
We only use the highest quality, extremely fine needles (about the size of a human hair) to ensure the best experience.
A small percentage experience a slight pressure as the needle contacts the skin that sensation usually fades within a few minutes, and your practitioner will check that you are comfortable and feeling relaxed.
What can we help with?
Our team of experts has experience with a diverse range of symptoms, including:
Will it work?
The World Health Organization (WHO) currently recommends acupuncture for over 100 conditions. Long before its recognition in Western medicine though, acupuncture has been practised for thousands of years to treat many conditions throughout the body. We also see the results in the transformations of our own patients.
Treatment time and results vary from patient to patient but we work closely with you to ensure you are moving forward on your health journey.
How does it work?
The theory behind acupuncture is that healthy functioning of the body is governed by the flow of “qi” (or “energy”) through channels under the skin. When flow of qi is impaired, illness occurs. By inserting fine needles at various points along the channels, the energy flow is opened, restoring balance and resolving illness.
Acupuncture is a powerful, natural way to treat many conditions. In the last few decades Western researchers have used MRI, CT and PET scans to investigate how acupuncture works; their explanations involve acupuncture’s impact on the nervous system, neurotransmitter release, blood flow and modulation of the immune system. This research has proven that acupuncture can often be an effective healing tool by itself for several conditions.
There are many types of acupuncture. We practice traditional acupuncture or Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). All practitioners have undergone a minimum of degree level courses and this is their sole speciality. We work alongside other health professionals and will look at scans, blood test reports etc to provide a truly thorough consultation and treatment.
What should I expect?
The initial consultation will review your medical history, evaluate current health needs, and discuss your goals. Your practitioner will look to identify the cause of any problems or imbalances, determine the most appropriate treatment and answer any questions you may have.
Subsequent acupuncture treatments involve your acupuncturist inserting several very fine needles which will be left in position for around 15 minutes.
How do I prepare for treatment?
On an initial consultation, we ask for your medical history. Please bring any relevant medical results including blood test results and scans. We work as an integrated clinic and are happy to work alongside any other professionals you have working for you.
For subsequent acupuncture treatments, in order to get the full benefits of this therapy, try to relax before attending and unplug from the outside world.
